Commissioners approve $4.7 million in subsidies

BEAVER — The county commissioners approved dispersing nearly $4.7 million in subsidies to nine local groups Thursday despite the dissent of the board's former chairwoman.The annual subsidies awarded county funding to organizations such as the Community College of Beaver County, the transit authority and the humane society.
