CES 2020 continues with details about Quibi, a conversation with Neon’s CEO, and new features from Twitter

Quibi and Twitter announced some interesting news during the second full day of CES

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas rolls on, and though the volume of news has slowed a bit, we’re still learning a lot about what’s to come in tech this year.

The Verge got to chat with Jeffery Katzenberg and Meg Whitman to learn about the upcoming mobile streaming service Quibi. One particularly intriguing idea is the app’s “Turnstyle” technology, which lets you instantly switch between portrait and landscape video and shows your content in a slightly different way based on which way you’re holding your phone.

The Verge spoke with the CEO of Samsung-owned Neon as well to learn more about the company’s “artificial humans,” which look to be pretty overhyped in their current form. And Twitter unveiled changes coming to conversations, including one that will let you limit who can reply to your tweets, which could help solve some of issues with abuse and harassment on the platform. We also rode Segway’s new two-wheeler, the S-Pod, wrote about the smart tech coming for your bathroom, and observed that AirPods Pro competitors are arriving in droves.
